Auto Legends, a social web3 drag racing game, has raised $1 million from Coinbase Ventures’ Base Ecosystem Fund, bringing its total funding to $9 million. Other key investors in this round include Operating Group and Draper Dragon.
Developed by Autoverse Studios, Auto Legends blends traditional racing gameplay with blockchain-powered ownership, allowing players to race, collect vehicles, manage virtual dealerships, and even participate in high-stakes “pink slip” races.
The game has bolstered its team by bringing on industry veteran Scott Probin, known for his work on Need for Speed Underground and Madden NFL. His expertise is expected to refine gameplay mechanics and enhance the player-driven economy.
Auto Legends is also preparing for an NFT mint, allowing early supporters to own exclusive in-game cars. With continued investment and a team of gaming veterans, the project aims to redefine web3 racing games, merging car culture with blockchain technology.
