Jurassic World Joins The Sandbox Metaverse

A Groundbreaking Collaboration

The Sandbox, a social gaming and metaverse platform under Animoca Brands, is partnering with Universal Products & Experiences and Amblin Entertainment to bring Jurassic World into the metaverse. Fans will experience new games, interactive environments, and exclusive digital collectibles, including dinosaurs and playable characters. The first Jurassic World game will launch as part of Alpha Season 5 in March 2025.

Introducing Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve

The first game, Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve, places players in an Arizona sanctuary as members of the Dinosaur Protection Group. Their mission is to manage the facility by exploring, collecting resources, and completing quests.

A limited dinosaur egg collection will let players hatch and evolve dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptors. With dynamic challenges and changing events, no two visits to the sanctuary will be the same.

A Childhood Dream Turned Reality

“The metaverse can bring childhood dreams to life. Who hasn’t been fascinated by dinosaurs?” said Sebastien Borget, COO & Co-Founder of The Sandbox. “Now, fans can explore, interact, and even create their own Jurassic World adventures.”

Virtual Real Estate and Customization

Starting in April 2024, fans can buy virtual real estate and build their own experiences. Premium LAND owners will receive a Creator Asset Pack, featuring digital dinosaurs and props to enhance their prehistoric worlds.

When and Where to Play

Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve debuts in Alpha Season 5 in March 2025, with more details to come. Players can expect an engaging and evolving gameplay experience with regular updates, new challenges, and additional content inspired by the beloved franchise.
