Leading Tech Firms Launch UK Web3 and AI Accelerator

Four global tech leaders — Animoca Brands, Coinbase, Fabric Ventures, and Founders Factory — have launched a UK-based accelerator to back early-stage startups in web3 and AI. The programme offers up to £250,000 in funding, along with a 16-week growth and mentorship programme to help founders refine their products, scale operations, and attract further investment.

“This is about helping the UK build and scale frontier technologies,” said Damian Routley, COO at Founders Factory. “We’re offering more than capital — we’re delivering the expert support founders need to go global.”

Participants will gain access to leading web3 and blockchain companies for help with tokenomics, community-building, and scaling strategies. The programme ends with a demo day where startups pitch to top investors.

Leaders from the participating firms highlighted the UK’s strong tech talent, capital access, and supportive regulation as key advantages. Robby Yung of Animoca Brands stressed the importance of building innovation locally: “The UK must be a creator of web3 tech — not just a consumer.”

Aligned with the government’s focus on digital innovation, this initiative aims to secure the UK’s place as a global hub for AI and blockchain-driven growth.
