M10 Raises $3M to Redefine Web3 Gaming, Led by Sui Foundation

M10, a Web3 game developer, has raised $3 million in seed funding led by the Sui Foundation, with additional backing from GSR, Big Brain Holdings, and Monoceros. The funds will support M10’s first competitive multiplayer game and its mission to transform the free-to-play (F2P) gaming model.

The company is led by CEO Maitham Mohamed (Forbes 30 Under 30, former FIFA player), President Lars Buttler (co-founder of Trion Worlds), and Chief Creative Officer Martin Capel (former Ubisoft director). Their team includes veterans from titles like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA V.

M10 aims to fix aggressive monetization in F2P games by using blockchain to create fairer, more sustainable economies. Their approach is inspired by FIFA Ultimate Team’s gray market, offering players better value.

Partnering with Sui, a Layer 1 blockchain, ensures scalability, security, and efficient digital asset ownership, making it an ideal foundation for next-gen web3 games.

M10’s first game, a competitive shooter, is in development and will incorporate web3 technology for a more accessible gaming experience.
