MapleStory N, the blockchain-based MMORPG from Nexon’s NEXPACE project, officially launches May 15. As the first major title in the MapleStory Universe, the game merges classic side-scrolling gameplay with blockchain features like gasless transactions and tradable on-chain assets, giving players true ownership of in-game items.
Built to support a player-driven economy, MapleStory N introduces the Reward Experience 2.0 system, allowing users to manage and trade assets on-chain while addressing item dilution. A new contribution model rewards community participation, enabling players and creators to help shape the game’s evolution through ecosystem tokens and user-generated content.
Backed by over 20 years of security experience, the game includes strong anti-cheat measures and infrastructure support from AvaCloud. Pre-launch testing showed high engagement, with over 31.5 million on-chain actions, nearly 1 million wallets registered, and retention rates topping 50%.
MapleStory N marks the beginning of a larger web3 gaming initiative, with future plans for IP integration and decentralized content development. The game will be available on PC, with more updates at msu.io.
