NVIDIA has launched Project G-Assist, an AI-driven system assistant designed to enhance PC performance for GeForce RTX desktop GPUs. First showcased at Computex 2024, this experimental tool is now available via the NVIDIA App, with laptop support planned for a future update.
AI-Powered PC Optimization
Unlike cloud-based AI, G-Assist runs locally, leveraging an 8-billion-parameter Llama-based model to deliver real-time diagnostics, performance tuning, and peripheral control. Users can optimize game settings, track FPS, overclock GPUs, and adjust peripherals through simple voice or text commands.

Expanding AI Capabilities
G-Assist supports third-party integrations, allowing developers to extend its functionality via NVIDIA’s GitHub repository. Early plugins include Spotify control and Google Gemini integration, with NVIDIA’s ACE technology also powering AI assistants from MSI, Logitech, and HP.
Availability & System Requirements
The tool is compatible with GeForce RTX 30, 40, and 50 Series desktop GPUs (12GB+ VRAM) on Windows 10/11, requiring the latest GeForce 572.83 driver.
Project G-Assist is available now in the NVIDIA App (Home > Discovery), with ongoing updates shaped by user feedback.
