Ubisoft has rolled out a Decentralized Verification Network (DVN) to support secure, cross-chain asset transfers in web3 gaming. Built on LayerZero’s omnichain messaging protocol, the DVN connects over 130 blockchains—including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon—enabling players to move in-game items, currencies, and NFTs across platforms without losing ownership or integrity.
Using LayerZero’s omnichain token standards (OFTs and ONFTs), the system allows Ubisoft to better track and manage digital assets while offering a more seamless experience for users. This marks another step in Ubisoft’s push into blockchain, following its initial efforts dating back to 2021.
Ubisoft’s partnership with LayerZero strengthens both companies’ positions in the web3 space. With over 400 applications already using LayerZero’s infrastructure and 140 million cross-chain messages processed, Ubisoft’s adoption signals growing industry confidence in omnichain interoperability.
