Yuga Labs achieved a Guinness World Record with 2,197 concurrent players in the first round of Project Dragon, setting the record for the most players ever in an online first-person shooter.
The event brought together members from Yuga’s ecosystem—including Apes, Meebs, Kodas, Moonbirds, and Voyagers—along with their friends and family. Powered by MSquared, the platform enabled seamless movement between interconnected virtual worlds.
This milestone is part of Yuga’s preparations for the June 2025 launch of Otherside, an expansive metaverse featuring AI integrations, persistent islands, and a developer toolkit for creating immersive experiences.
In related news, Dookey Dash Unclogged, a mobile sequel to Dookey Dash, has been discontinued for now but will be revitalized once Otherside goes live.
