The Avalanche Foundation, in partnership with Rain, has launched the Avalanche Card, enabling users to spend cryptocurrency anywhere Visa is accepted. Available in physical and digital formats, it provides an alternative financial solution for regions with limited banking access, like Latin America, Nigeria, and Southeast Asia.
The card supports USDC, USDT, AVAX, and wAVAX, bridging decentralized finance with everyday purchases. John Wu, President of Ava Labs, says, “With the Avalanche Card, crypto is as easy as swiping a credit card.”
Regions like Latin America, Nigeria, and Southeast Asia are seeing rising crypto adoption due to inflation, currency instability, and banking restrictions. The Avalanche Card offers secure, borderless financial access, bypassing traditional banking systems.
