Unite, a Layer 3 network built on Base, has launched Bored Button, a casual gaming platform designed to bring blockchain gaming to mainstream users. With over 130 free-to-play titles, the platform focuses on mobile-first access, supporting Android, iOS, and browser play—though core features like wallet integration and play-to-earn are currently limited to mobile.
Since its launch, Bored Button has surpassed 5 million downloads on Google Play and is also available on the App Store and Windows. Users can play instantly, switch games at random, and browse trending or favorite titles.
While token rewards, wallets, and daily prizes are expected, these features are still under development. Some users have reported missing functionalities promised in promotional material. Unite has teased future options like gift card redemptions and airdrops via its Telegram-based League of Llamas game, though nothing is confirmed for Bored Button yet.
Despite some delays, Bored Button is seen as a promising step toward mainstream adoption of Web3 gaming, with more features expected in future updates.
