Cirque du Soleil Brings Its Magic to The Sandbox Metaverse

Cirque du Soleil is stepping into the metaverse spotlight through a groundbreaking collaboration with The Sandbox, the leading Web3 social gaming platform. The partnership will headline Alpha Season 6 of The Sandbox, debuting two interactive virtual “Experiences” based on Cirque’s spectacular live shows—Luzia and another yet-to-be-revealed production.

This digital expansion marks Cirque du Soleil’s most ambitious metaverse endeavor yet, transforming its signature blend of acrobatics, artistry, and emotion into playable worlds. Players will also be able to collect limited-edition avatars and digital collectibles themed around Cirque’s iconic universe.

“This collaboration opens new creative avenues for us,” said Noah Lemieux Bernier, VP of Digital and Customer Experience at Cirque du Soleil. “We’re extending the magic of our performances into interactive, social spaces that live beyond the stage.”

The Sandbox will also release Cirque-branded assets for its global community of creators, enabling fans to design their own content inspired by the Cirque aesthetic.
